Journal of Health and Human Movement Studies

It is my great joy to present to you the Maiden Edition of the Journal of Health and Human Movement Studies (JOHMOS), the official journal of the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba. This journal is a forum for scholars to disseminate and share scholarly information in the field of Human Kinetics and Health Education and its allied areas. In keeping with the international standard, JOHMOS is a peer-reviewed journal covering diverse areas such as; Sports Administration and Management, Exercise and Sports Science, Health Education, Sport Psychology, Motor Behavior, Adapted Physical Education, Health Promotion and Environmental Health, Sport Marketing, Sport Journalism, Recreation and Tourism, Sport Medicine, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition and Feeding in Sport and other related areas. I am pleased to bring to you the maiden edition of JOHMOS. It comes on the heels of many health challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and many non-communicable diseases, the use of technology in prevention and control of diseases, causes and prevalence of anorexia and bulimia among females, diet and exercise in the treatment of obesity, issues and challenges in sports administration and management, benefits of sports in the choice of youth career, psychosocial predictors of stressors on athletic performance, guidelines for teaching physical activities to visually impaired children and the general area of physical education. I hereby present to your reading and research pleasure the thought-provoking articles in the maiden edition of JOHMOS as reflect on physical activity and health issues that give us sleepless nights in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
